For the past month the Festival team have been busy collecting data from over 320 events across Scotland, and we are delighted to be able to confirm that SMHAFF 2014 drew crowds of over 20,000, making it the most POWERful SMHAFF to date!

We are also pleased to report a significant increase in engagement with Festival messages online, more people than ever signed up to receive the SMHAFF news letter, we had record web hits and saw a big spike in followers on Facebook and Twitter. The wonderful SMHAFF 2014 trailer has also had a record number of views since it launched at the start of September – if you are one of the few that hasn’t managed to see it yet then you can view it on our home page.

Thanks once again to all of you who attended events in your thousands and engaged with us and our partner organisation online during the Festival. Although SMHAFF is over for another year, we do have some exciting announcements coming up over the next few months so keep up to date on Facebook and Twitter. We are also pleased to announce that the International Film Submission will also be launching in January and the writing awards in March next year.
