Join this gentle, facilitated creative gathering that uses art as a tool for reflection, connection, and wellbeing.
Drawing on years of experience using creative process therapeutically, each session moves through a simple arc — grounding, interior reflection, and connection with others — using accessible, sensory prompts like natural objects, imagery, and short pieces of writing.
There’s no pressure to be “good” at art, and no experience is needed. It’s a space to slow down, notice, and make something small and honest with your hands, alongside others doing the same.
About the Artist
The session will be led by Louise Bartholomew, a creative facilitator with over 16 years’ experience using art therapeutically. She leads Where Wildflowers Grow, a project exploring creativity and wellbeing, and is an honorary researcher with the University of Glasgow’s art and wellbeing research group.
Wildflower Circle grew out of Where Wildflowers Grow, a wider creative project rooted in unhurried, authentic practice. It builds on a successful pilot session held at Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), and draws on the tradition of women’s circles as a space for shared creativity and quiet solidarity.
Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or you’ve been making things your whole life, Wildflower Circle offers a space to pause, create, and be gently seen.
