Join Ailie Finlay for a sensory storytelling session based around the work of Robert Burns. There are limited spaces for these sessions, intended for adults with profound or multiple learning disabilities.
Over the space of 30-minutes, Ailie will use sounds, sights, textures and actions to lead participants through a sensory retelling of Robert Burns’ poem ‘The Wren’s Nest’, and other aspects of his work.
As a sensory storyteller of great experience, and the founder of My Kind of Book (mykindofbook.org.uk), Ailie will ensure a playful and engaging encounter with the work of Burns and involve participants in a creative and adaptive exploration of poetry, and its power to connect us.
The number of participants within a session is based around the involvement of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and any accompanying carer(s) would also be welcome to take part.
