An art exhibition at the Recreational Therapy Department showcasing the creative work completed by staff and patients of Leverndale Hospital throughout the year.

‘Anyone can do art’ is our ethos within the Recreational Therapy Department.  Everyone is encouraged to participate in the creative process, with no expectation of level or the end product. The art, music, creative writing and textile art groups are popular within the department and always generate meaningful and interesting work. The wider team include activity co-ordinators within the ward areas, physiotherapists and psychologists, each with their own creative work to showcase at the exhibition.

The event will include collaborations between Recreational Therapy and Glasgow Museums involving art from Joyce Laing’s ‘Art Extraordinary’ collection and artwork created during a wonderful week spent at Glasgow International in the summer will also be exhibited. Chris Gordon from ‘Music in Hospitals’ will be play between 3.30-4.30pm and ‘Mind and Draw’ will led a creative workshop during the full event. Refreshments will be available.

We would love to welcome you to our department.
