Celebrate 20 years of the Deep Fried Film Festival (and SMHAF) with a special screening of independent films, followed by a Q&A with filmmakers. The event will explore the idea of reflection as part of the filmmaking process.
Deep Fried Film Festival was established to provide an affordable platform for independent filmmakers from around the world to screen their work. Over the years, it has helped launch careers in the film industry and built a supportive community of filmmakers who continue to stay connected with the festival.
Submissions will be invited across a range of categories, with the winning films selected by audience vote. Filmmakers will also be invited to reflect on their work through a series of discussions. These will be available to watch on the Deep Fried Media Studios YouTube channel and shared on social media from 19 October.
