THE SONG AND THE SORROW + WE ARE ALL HERE

Film

Features two award winners at SMHAF 2019, for Best Mid-length Documentary and Best Short Documentary. Followed by a Q&A with We Are All Here director Hannah Currie and clinical psychologist Dr Simon Stuart.

Male suicide has long been prominent in the music industry and this powerful pairing explores the impact it can have on those who are left behind.

In The Song and the Sorrow, Canadian folk singer Catherine MacLellan recounts how the loss of her legendary father, Gene MacLellan, has resonated throughout her life.

We Are All Here examines the shockwaves sent through the Scottish hip hop community when 21-year-old Glasgow rapper Lumo took his own life.
