How do we curate potentially triggering art? This exhibition of work from Luke ‘Luca’ Cockayne, Carys Reilly and Chandelle Waugh asks how artists can explore difficult work in a way that is safe for themselves and others.

How can we present work by contemporary artists that explores painful subject matter without traumatising the audience or re-traumatising the artist? Is it even possible?

These questions will be explored through the use of active consent to enter the space, continuous curation in response to audience feedback and experimentation.

Audiences are warned that the work will explore subjects such as: psychiatric admission, psychosis, self-harm, suicidal ideation, sexual assault, domestic abuse, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, and other potentially upsetting content.
