Join renowned mindfulness author and teacher Martin Stepek as he discusses how and why we should develop the skill, or art, of letting go, becoming increasingly happy and at peace as we do so. Much of our life is weighed down by thoughts about the past or worries about the future. Martin will helps us learn how we can removes these obstacles to our happiness moment by moment. This event includes a mindfulness meditation practice.

Martin is one of Scotland's most respected and popular mindfulness teachers. Author of two books on the subject and writer of a weekly column on the subject in the Sunday Herald, he is also a prize-winning poet, and the recipient of the prestigious Polish award, the Gold Cross of Merit. His wide-ranging studies have included Buddhism, East Asian Poetry, and the neuroscience of happiness and peace of mind. He serves on the Choose Life group, the pan-Lanarkshire suicide prevention body.
