Created by people living with Tourette syndrome, their families and supporters, this community window display at The Portal, Irvine, features artwork, photographs, poems and personal reflections.

Inspired by the festival theme of Reflection, the display shares authentic voices and invites visitors to consider their experiences, challenge assumptions and see the world from different perspectives. It asks us to look beyond first impressions and reflect on what we think we know about Tourette syndrome.

Celebrating community and individuality, the display aims to challenge misconceptions, raise awareness and encourage meaningful conversations about identity, acceptance and mental wellbeing. Through lived experience and creative expression, it hopes to foster understanding, create greater connection, reduce isolation and encourage visitors to ‘see me, not my tics’.
