Moving Minds returns to Civic House on Sunday 2 August, a free family day hosted by the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, this year taking place as part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival at the Commonwealth Games.

This year’s theme is Reflections, an invitation to pause, slow down and explore how creativity shapes our mental health.

The programme features storytelling from Sam Rowe of the Village Storytelling Centre, a live solo set from Brownbear, and dance performances in classical styles Kathak and Bharatanatyam from Theiya Arts, who also lead a mandala-making workshop.

Artist Finni Porter Chambers leads a family friendly creative workshop with natural materials, while for the wee ones there will be games, dancing, face painting, glitter tattoos. There will also be an exhibition, creative activities, and a quiet sensory space available throughout the day.

Award-winning community choir SoundSational close the afternoon.

Food is provided by MILK, with refreshments throughout the day.

Free and open to all. Everyone welcome.
