Celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of cinema’s greatest classics.
Jack Nicholson stars as Randle P. McMurphy, a rebellious new patient in a mental institution whose defiance against the cold, controlling Nurse Ratched sparks chaos – and freedom – among his fellow inmates. Darkly funny, deeply moving, and as powerful today as ever, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest returns to the big screen in a stunning anniversary presentation.
In the shadow of war, displacement and occupation, survival becomes an act of creativity and resistance. Moving between Syria, Ukraine, Gaza and Kosovo, this programme of intimate documentaries is co-presented with Counterpoint Arts.
The debut feature from Edinburgh-based filmmaker Isaac Knights-Washbourn is an intimate portrait of Thorntree, Rowan Alba’s pioneering supported accommodation for alcohol-dependent men.
A work-in-progress reading of a new play by Matthew Knights exploring the life of the gifted artist and sculptor Adam Christie, who was a patient at the Royal Asylum of Montrose between 1901–1950.
