Join us during the upcoming Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival for Reflect, Create, Transform. Art in the Community, where members from the Three Towns Men’s Shed and She Shed will welcome the community and visitors to their creative space in Ardrossan over three open day events.
As part of these open events, we invite you to view the final artwork of the Three Towns Community Shed’s men and women groups, a prominent two-part modular mural that embodies the community’s skills and emotional experiences.
This engaging project is the result of a series of participatory workshops led by artist-curator Marianne Vosloo. Throughout September 2025, participants from The Community Shed will collaborate to create this dual art piece, exploring the festival theme of Comfort & Disturb. The mural will consist of two wooden designs: one will express art as a source of comfort, while the other will address challenges to societal norms.
Visit to see the creative environment of the She Shed and Men’s Shed, showcasing the collective creativity of Community Shed members from Ardrossan, Stevenston, and Saltcoats. The occasions will mark the beginning of regular events to showcase newly created artworks and handmade objects in a new shop edition. Visitors are invited to further participate, support charity initiatives, and share skills.
The events serve as a platform for meaningful conversations about mental health and wellbeing, demonstrating how art can play a critical role in developing community connections and resilience.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this inspiring journey together!
