This exhibition will showcase artworks produced by Glasgow-based artists and professionals working in mental health, trauma and early adversity. The works explore each artist’s reflections on their own world and psyche in response to their work within this field.

Services across Scotland are under great pressure to meet the needs of people with mental health issues in relation to the current economic and social challenges we are faced with. This can also often be the case for professionals working within mental health and wellbeing, where limited resources affect the level of supervision and support required.

This exhibition highlights the importance of self-reflection and processing, using artmaking as a way to explore conscious and unconscious material brought to the fore when working with people and communities in distress.

Exhibiting artists include: Gemma Latimer, artist and psychotherapist working with adults; Rebecca Wood, artist and art psychotherapist working with children; Gwenan Davies, artist and arts facilitator; and Iona Grey, artist, counsellor and arts facilitator.
