In this interactive showcase event, the Mental Health Foundation and the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit at the University of Glasgow, present three short films exploring mental health during the perinatal period.
The films will include a short animation, a documentary film, and a dramatic film, all collaboratively produced with individuals with lived experience, project partners and healthcare professionals. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A, giving an insight into the creative process.
Projects from both organisations (Small Talk and Big Data) share a common goal of challenging stigma and perceptions around perinatal mental health. They aim to increase awareness of perinatal mental health and to engage with diverse communities to improve perinatal mental health.
The showcase event will provide a unique platform to discuss ongoing challenges around perinatal mental health and the revolution required in support to parents.
