Would you like to find out more about the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival and how you can get involved?

SMHAF will return from 10 – 27 October 2024, exploring the theme of ‘In/Visible’. We are hosting two information sessions in May to share details about our upcoming programme and how individuals and organisations can get involved.

Each session will include:

  • Information about the SMHAF 2024 programme
  • How our programming model works
  • Opportunities for artists, organisations and communities
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Competitions and submissions
  • Areas which we are aiming to develop
  • Case studies from people who have previously been involved

The information sessions will take place on Tuesday 7 May from 3 – 4.30pm and Thursday 16 May from 11am – 12.30pm. If you have any questions or access requirements, please get in touch at smhaf@mentalhealth.org.uk.

Each session will cover the same content, so please only attend one.

About the Festival

Now in its 18th year, the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival takes place across Scotland and is led by the Mental Health Foundation. It aims to provides a platform for everyone to create and share art inspired by mental health and explores how the arts and creativity can support people to live mentally healthier lives.

By engaging with artists, connecting with communities and forming collaborations, we celebrate the artistic achievements of people with experience of mental health problems, challenge stigma and perceptions, and encourage participation in the arts to promote good mental health for all.
