In today’s fast-paced world, finding a moment of true stillness can be a challenge. Take a mindful break with Pastel Nagomi Art, a relaxing Japanese healing art.

Use soft pastel powders, your fingertips and stencils to create beautiful artwork in a workshop led by a certified instructor. Explore breathing, tactile creativity and self-discovery in a calm, supportive setting.

Pastel Nagomi Art originated in Japan. ‘Nagomi’ embodies concepts of calm, peace and harmony. Rather than focusing on the finished artwork, this workshop invites you to enjoy the soothing, tactile process of creating and take time for reflection.

Begin with a guided mindful breathing exercise to help quiet your mind, connect with your body and settle into the present moment. You will then learn how to grind pastels into powder, mix colours, make paper stencils and paint directly with your fingertips.

As you create, you will be encouraged to bring awareness to your thoughts, feelings and emotions without judgement, explore what the experience means to you and approach yourself with compassion. Think of the workshop as a gentle opportunity to pause, unwind and recharge.

No art experience required. All materials are provided. Just bring an open mind.
