Launching on National Poetry Day, this community poetry trail will showcase the voice of older people in the Garnock Valley.

The work will reflect on the environment, climate science, and our natural world to help young people find wonder in the Earth and feel a sense of excitement and agency about the future they are inheriting. Writers will have the opportunity to amplify their voice and showcase their talents, nurturing their sense of purpose and wellbeing.

As part of the work being carried out by Community Voices 50+ and the Garnock Valley Discovery Award around Older Peoples Voice supported by North Ayrshire Community Learning Development and Project Kilbirnie, the poetry and prose will be displayed in shop windows, making it accessible and freely available to all. A great opportunity to get out and explore the area, take part in discussions with others and feel part of the community.
