HTSUOGHT by Sarah Forrest

HTSUOGHT is a short film made in collaboration with my nephew Ruairidh that asks, ‘how can we be sure that we’re seeing the same things as each other?’ Drawing from Ruairidh’s experience of ADHD, the film brings together individual and collaborative footage, montaged head sequences and interviews with family and friends to consider ideas of visibility and invisibility with regards to our mental health.

In/Visible Commissions

What does it mean to be ‘visible’ or ‘invisible’ when we think about our mental health?

We commissioned six artists – Deborah Shaw, Fibi Cowley, Meray Diner, Rebecca Livesey-Wright & Indra Wilson, Ritu Arya, and Sarah Forrest – to create new work exploring the theme of In/Visible at the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2024.
