She shares her own mental health journey and how connecting with her creativity has impacted her life.   

Ruth also discusses her experience with various mental health care systems and how she and those around her reacted to these systems.

“It was scary to go to the hairdresser, it was scary to get on a bus, it was scary to speak to people. So the more creative I got, the more courage I got.” 

“I don’t believe that you’ve got some people who are creative and some people who are not. I think that’s rubbish. We just all express our creativity in different ways.”
