As a forestry worker, a former Voluntary Services Manager at Argyll & Bute Hospital and a musician, Hugh uses nature and music to connect people. 

He shares insights from his varied career, which has led him to form the Easy Club, a supportive space for people to learn skills in music.

“These clubs are where a lot of the support goes on and social interaction, and, indeed, artistic creativity, in these kinds of wee clubs. It’s a really important thing.” 

“I think I hosted a comedian or two, and that was really good, taking patients from the hospital down into one of the lounge bars to watch very modern and risqué comedians.”
