Name: Dianna Manson
Years: 1950s – Present
As a mental health advocate, volunteer and art lover, Dianna has used her own experiences of mental illness to inform collaborations with artists across Scotland.
She talks about training as a medical student in the 1950s, and having synthesia, which allows her to experience music in a unique way.
Excerpts:
“It’s wonderful to feel the vibrations of the double bass and the cellos and just to get that resonance come round with the colours and the texture and everything else. It’s just wonderful.”
