Volunteer

Volunteers have a vital role at the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, from supporting the team at key events to creating content for our website and helping to shape the festival programme.

SMHAF volunteers at the CCA in Glasgow

We support volunteers to get involved by reimbursing expenses for travel and subsistence and providing complimentary tickets to our events.

We do not ask for prior experience for our volunteer positions and particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health problems and from under-represented communities.

Current Opportunities

We are currently seeking event volunteers to support our team at key events in Glasgow and Edinburgh during SMHAF 2023. These roles may include welcoming audience members, working on ticket desks, and acting as ushers in screening and performance spaces.

We would particularly welcome applications from people who are available to help out at our opening event Manifesto, which takes place at CCA: Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow on Wednesday 4 October.

If you would be interested in getting involved, please complete the form below or email us at smhaf@mentalhealth.org.uk if you have any questions.
