We are excited to announce the legacy event for the Reclaiming Our Heritage project, in partnership with the Scottish Oral History Centre at the University of Strathclyde

Led by the Mental Health Foundation, Reclaiming Our Heritage is a collection of stories about the arts and mental health landscape in Scotland, between the 1950s to early 2000s. You can browse the archive here. 40 interviews showcase a diverse range of testimonies from artists, creators, community organisers, participants, and healthcare staff alike.

A series of arts workshops and podcast episodes this year, led by the team at the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, has brought the archive to a new audience, aiming to provide an ongoing legacy for the testimonies.

Join us at this legacy event to get a taste of the work, hear some music from Diglas Stewart, one of the interviewees, and find out more about the arts, mental health and heritage in Scotland.
