Join Argyll & Bute Rape Crisis for a series of gentle, creative workshops exploring healing, connection and self-expression through journalling, textile art and neurographic drawing.

Designed especially for women impacted by trauma, sexual violence, poor mental health, addiction or social isolation, these supportive sessions offer a safe space to explore emotions, discover new coping tools and build community.

Each weekly session will introduce an expressive activity—such as intuitive drawing—requiring no art experience, just an open mind. Together, we’ll explore how creativity can bring both comfort and discomfort, reflecting on how healing often involves sitting with painful memories while also discovering moments of joy, calm and hope.

Previous participants shared how transformative these groups were:

“I came in not knowing what to write. Now journaling is my way to check in with myself—it’s been life-changing.”

“I felt so alone before. Being creative with other women who understand was amazing.”

Sessions are led by experienced, trauma-informed Argyll & Bute Rape Crisis staff who understand the importance of confidentiality, safety, and trust. By the end of the series, participants will also have the opportunity to contribute pieces—anonymously if they wish—to a shared exhibition, amplifying survivors’ voices and stories.

Come as you are. Find comfort, even amid discomfort. Create something meaningful—for yourself and alongside others who truly understand.
